Many of you have asked for education on why we get sick and want to learn about to heal the body. I have put together this course to go through in detail some of the topics that I don’t have time for when I give a presentation at an event. This is a course where you will want to take some notes as you learn about the different topics. At the end, I go through meal suggestions and Dos and Do-nots.


I talk about why I starting learning about nutrition. Doctors just don't learn about nutrition in medical school. We have to actively try to learn it. So I did. When I got sick, I was looking for options on how to heal. I traveled around the country learning from experts. I learned about the gut, how diet affects the gut. I spent a lot of time understanding about inflammation. Then I worked on finding how to reduce inflammation--because I felt that if I reduced my inflammation, I would suppress my illness. And that is what happened. I am now almost 9 years off of medications for rheumatoid arthritis. I use all of my skills to work on prevention of illness and have learned about how to combat inflammation and reduce risk of heart disease. I now see patients who have known heart disease and want to heal. It has been an amazing journey.


People always ask me how to heal their bodies. FIRST, you have to understand how you got sick. After you learn that, then you can find your triggers and start healing. Improving diet is often a huge step in reducing inflammation and healing the body.
